Logging On to AP Exchange

Registered Users

To log on to AP Exchange:

  1. Open a Web browser and enter the URL: http://www.apexchange.com.
    Result:     The AP Exchange Login page appears.

  1. Enter your AP Exchange user name and password in the boxes provided.

Tips:

  • Forgot your password? Click the Forgot your Password? link on the Login page. For details, see Resending Your Password.

  • Want AP Exchange to remember your user name and password the next time you log on? Select Remember me next time.

  1. Click Login.
    Result:     If your user name and password are valid, the AP Exchange home page appears, displaying the results of your default search (see Viewing the Home Page).

Unregistered Users

First-time AP Exchange users must register their accounts.

To register your account:

  1. Log on to AP Exchange as indicated in Registered Users.
    Result:     The Welcome page appears.

Tip: Existing customers can transfer their existing accounts from another AP Web application, such as AP Images or AP Archive. Click the here link and enter your login and password into the boxes provided. Then, click Login.

You are automatically logged into AP Exchange.

  1. Click the complete your new account's registration link and follow the instructions on the subsequent User Registration pages.

1. Contact Information

Specify all of the required boxes (highlighted in pink). The Registration Status section indicates which boxes are left to complete. If you already have your confirmation code and need to complete your registration, click Enter it here to return to the Activate page. If you lost your confirmation e-mail, click Have it resent.

2. Confirm

Review your contact information. If the information is correct, click Finish. If the information is incorrect, click Edit to make the necessary changes.

If Finish is clicked, a confirmation e-mail is sent to the account entered in the Contact Information page. The e-mail contains your new AP Exchange user name (your e-mail address) and the confirmation code needed for the Activate page.

3. Activate

Enter your e-mail address and confirmation code in the fields provided. Then, click Activate to register your account or Do it Later to complete your registration at a later time.

4. Success

You will receive this screen only if you entered the valid e-mail address and confirmation code. Click the log in link to log on to AP Exchange using your new user name its associated password.

Resending Your Confirmation Code or Password

If you forgot your AP Exchange password, click the Forgot your password? link on the Login page. Similarly, if you lost your confirmation code for account activation, click the Have it resent link from the User Registration's Contact Information page. In both cases, the Can't Login page opens. Enter your site user name and click Submit.
