
The AP Custom News Contribution Lineup page allows you to manage the editing and linking of your content. The page is divided into three main sections:
Not Yet Published Documents Tab. Contains content that you created and saved, but not yet submitted to AP Custom News. This content is not available in Custom News.
Published Documents Tab. Contains content that you submitted to Custom News via the Contribute Story page or the Not Yet Published Documents tab. This content is available in Custom News and can be used to create supplemental document content definitions.
Preview Section. (If selected) Displays a preview of your document (metadata only).
Click Manage in the Navigation bar; then click Lineup under the Hosted heading at left.

To upload or remove saved supplemental documents:
Select the corresponding check
box(es) for the document(s) that you want to upload (publish) or delete.
To select all of the documents, click the Remove
or Publish check box in the heading.
Result: The Commit button
appears.

Click Commit;
then, click OK when the warning
message appears.
Result: Uploaded documents are moved under Published
Documents and is accessible in Custom News. Removed documents are
permanently deleted from AP Exchange.
To edit metadata for saved documents:
Click
beside the headline's name. AP Exchange automatically
directs you to the Upload to Hosted page.
To find supplemental documents:
Specify one or more words from the document's headline in the Keywords box; then click Search. For partial words, use the wildcard character (*) (Example: Professional *ball). The keywords found in headline are indicated in red.

Tip: (For published documents only) If you are having trouble recalling words from an document's headline, use the home page's Search box to find your document on the main page. This is very useful if you have multiple pages of uploaded documents. |
To preview metadata for a supplemental document:
Click the document's headline. The preview appears at
right. Click
to remove the preview.
To page through supplemental documents (for sections with many documents):
Click one of the page navigation buttons
or select a page number from the Page
menu.
The navigation buttons and Page menu do not appear if the number of results can fit on one page.
To change the number of supplemental documents on a page:
Select your desired page length (5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 100) from the Page size menu.
To refresh the supplemental document display:
Click
.
To sort the supplemental documents in the table:
Click a heading.

Click once to sort the table by the heading in alphabetical or date ascending order (A to Z, oldest to newest). |

Click again to sort the table by the heading in reverse alphabetical or date descending order (Z to A, newest to oldest). |
To link supplemental documents:
Select the Link
options for the desired documents. You may select two or more documents
in the same action. To select all documents, click the Link
check box in the heading.
Result: The Link button
appears.

Click Link;
then click OK when the warning
message appears.
Result: The linked documents are visible in a content definition
via AP Custom News.
To refile supplemental documents:
*Future feature:* The Refile option is not available for documents that were uploaded via the Upload to Hosted page.
