Managing the State Community Page

Note: This functionality is only available to AP Bureau Chiefs.

The Community Page management page allows you to manage certain content that appears in various windows on the <State> Community Page.

Accessing the Page

To access the Community Page management page:

  1. Click Manage in the Navigation bar; then click Community Page under the Marketplace heading at left.

  1. Select your bureau's state from the menu.
    Result:
    The management boxes appear on the page.

Updating the Welcome Message

The welcome message appears at the top of the <State> Community Page and gives you an opportunity to provide some important information to your customers.

To update the welcome message:

Enter/modify the welcome message, using HTML-formatted text; then click Save.

To see how the message appears on the <State> Community Page:

Click Preview Message.

To close the preview:

Click .

Managing the Favorite Links

As a Bureau Chief, you can provide links to sites that you feel may interest your customers.

Do this...

Create a new link

Click Create New.

Enter a name for the link, its full URL and a tool tip that appears when a user moves the mouse over the link. Then, click Save.

Note: You may leave out "http://" from the URL. AP Exchange will perform the appropriate validation.

Edit a link

Click or the link name. Update the link properties (same as the New Link properties). Then, click Save.

Delete a link

For a single link: Click . When the warning message appears, click OK.

For multiple links: Select multiple links; then click Delete.

Preview the URL site

Click the URL link.

Change the "favorite links" window title

Click Edit Link Header.

Update the title; then click Save.

Managing RSS Links

In addition to favorite links, you can also provide feed links to content that you feel may interest your customers. Each feed's content appears in its own separate window.

Note: You can create as many RSS feed links as you like. However, AP Exchange will only display up to two RSS windows.
