Viewing the Media Tabs

The Media tabs allow you to select which media type (text, photos, graphics, video, interactives or video, depending on your customer entitlements) to display in the Center column for all entitled products, saved searches or simple search results. You can only display one media type at a time. The default media type becomes your previously selected tab.

Move the mouse over a tab's title to display the number of items per page that AP Exchange will display. A value of (0) indicates that no matches were found for that media type. You can change the number of displayed items per page via the Account Settings page.

Click any link in this trail to return to that previous search.

Save or Modify Search

Whether the current search is a newly entered search or a saved search, click Save This Search to modify its search criteria and/or create a saved search on the Save Search page (resembles the Advanced Search page).

Number of Search Results

The number of search results displayed in the media panes is set according to the Number of Items Displayed section on the Account Settings page. The number of matching results found by the search is displayed on the media pane, along with the number of items that the pane is currently showing. Use the more>> and <<previous links or the Page box at the top and bottom of each pane to navigate through the search results.

Dayparted News (For Broadcast users only)

Depending on your organization's entitlements, some users may only receive news from certain text and audio products for part of the day. This is known as dayparting. In this instance, you will only see news from these products that occurred during the time of the day that your organization purchased. However, AP Exchange will still offer bulletins, flashes, urgents and weather 24 hours a day.

The dayparts are:

NewsPower Mornings

3:00 AM through 10:00 AM (local time)

NewsPower DriveTime

3:00 AM through 10:00 AM (local time) PLUS 2:00 PM through 7:00 PM (local time)

NewsPower 24
